Website measurement

Understanding how the website helps.

Updated October 31, 2026.

What we count

This website counts page views, browser-tab sessions, visible time, scroll milestones, section appearances, navigation and contact clicks, tool use, intake progress, generic error categories, and performance ranges. Counts are grouped by day, page, traffic-source category, approved campaign tag, broad device category, and country when the hosting service supplies it.

What stays private

Measurement does not collect names, email addresses, form answers, project details, downloaded document contents, raw referring URLs, IP addresses, stored user agents, or persistent visitor identifiers. Drafts and intake answers remain in your browser until you choose to share them. Measurement counts an action without collecting its contents. An email or phone click does not confirm a message was sent or a call completed.

Journey measurement

We also send selected page views and scope actions to BWS’s PostHog analytics project through this website’s server. A random reference held only in this page’s memory links those actions during one page load. It resets when the page reloads and is not stored in a cookie or browser storage. We do not link you across visits or across BWSWire.com and WireHarness.ai, build a person profile, forward your IP address or browser user-agent, or collect form answers. Email drafts and downloads are actions, not confirmed inquiries.

Your choice

We use no analytics cookies, fingerprinting, advertising trackers, or session recordings. This tab stores only a measurement preference, last-active time, and approved traffic-source categories. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable browser measurement when provided. You can also turn measurement off below. The choice applies to this browser tab on this website; a different tab or the other website has its own preference.

Storage and limits

Daily aggregate counts are kept in this website's hosted database for up to 400 days while collection is active. Previous historical counters are separate. The hosting service processes requests to serve the website; its operational records are separate from website measurement. PostHog stores the limited event records described above; the 400-day limit here applies to the site’s aggregate database. Browser blocking, disabled JavaScript, automated traffic that resembles a browser, repeated visits, or failed collection can affect counts. Browser-tab sessions are estimates, not unique people. Measurement data is available to authorized site administrators and is not published as a public visitor report.
